Simple Kirigami Creatures to Fold and Cut

These are a few of my attempts to create some animal theme flakes. The leaping cat and dog images I shamelessly borrowed from the Snowflake Animal Rescue.

Envisioning creatures in snowflake form requires a bit more thought and planning to put into pattern form than it is with simple, whimsical snow flakes. Give these a try to get a feel for the project then take a pencil and practice drawing your favorite critter into a few of the different styles of format templates to see how many different styles you can create.
