Nymphalidae ButterflyThe Nymphalidae is a family of brush-footed Lepidoptera butterflies or four-footed butterflies. These butterflies are medium to large in size and distributed throughout most of the world. There exists approximately 5,000 of this species of butterfly.

Many species are brightly colored, however their under wings are dull, sometimes resembling dead leaves. This helps camouflage the butterfly to make it seem disappear into its surroundings
