First Step fold and cut patterns. Easy 2 Sided basic snowflake designs.

First Step Fold Designs

First Step fold and cut snowflakes are Scissorcraft's easiest, most basic pattern designs intended for absolute beginners. Elementary patterns with basic cut out shapes to introduce concepts of symmetry.

Simple patterns suitable for:

  • Beginners
  • Preschool Children
  • People with Special Needs
  • Day care centers
  • Elder care centers
  • Hospital pediatrics
  • Teachers
  • Parents...

Symmetrical First Step snowflake fold patterns are very easy craft patterns with simple cuts; circles, squares, triangles, etc. Most beginners should be able to master these easy designs fairly quickly.

First Step patterns demonstrate how varied results can be obtained when applying different folds repeated over various templates.

For example: The simple "L" shape of pattern 2001 transforms into four uniquely different patterns when applied to 2, 3, 4, and 6 sided designs.

First Step 2 Sided fold First Step 3 Sided fold First Step 4 Sided fold First Step 6 Sided fold
The folding design #2001 forms a plus sign shape or an "X" when folded with the 2 sided pattern. When applied to a 3 sided pattern #3001 the design transforms into three arrows converging. When applied to the 4 sided pattern #4001 the plus sign or "X" resembles a quadrant cross. When applied to the #6001, 6 sided pattern, the shape resembles the Union Jack which is a combination of several different cross shapes.
