I thought it would be fun to apply the designs of various leaf shapes to snowflake patterns. It is interesting to see how much the veins and shapes of leaves are similar to the ice crystal patterns of frost on cold, wintery windows. If you've ever wondered about the similarities of leaves and satellite photos of rivers and tributaries, you'll get a kick out of these leaves as well.
Teach basic tree leaf pattern formation and math concepts with snowflake leaves. Select the thumbnail image to view the larger pattern.
Tree leaves are perfect for making designs, ornaments and decorations for Christmas and winter holiday seasons. A neat way to introduce different tree leaf types to children.
