Circles, Squares & Triangles Math Based

I thought it would be an interesting experiment to apply a few basic math shapes to see what sort of snowflake designs I could make. The results are a bit impressive I think and well worth sharing so kids can visualize how many different ways one simple shape can take when applied to different templates.

These patterns will come in handy for classroom situations for lessons on mathematical concepts.

Basic Shaped Snowflake Crystals

Make a classroom or family project out of these fun shapes.  Select a particular math shape such as a triangle, square or circle then apply the shape to all of the different  instruction templates to demonstrate the differences a simple fold can make.
